Appy Hour for Middle School Humanities

Using sample activities, templates, and hands-on app exploration, this workshop will share innovative ways to integrate technology into a Humanities classroom. Participants will work individually or in small groups to create or modify lessons and activities using apps such as VoiceThread, Edmodo, Weebly, Explain Everything and Evernote. During this process, participants will begin to understand the Substitution Augmentation Modification Redefinition (SAMR) model and determine how to use these apps to enhance and transform their classroom practice.
