International 1:1 Computing Conference

This session will outline how the Sunnyside Unified School District developed a sustainable approach to creating a 1:1 environment that centers on high quality professional development and digital curriculum. Participants will learn how the Project Red indicators guided design and decision-making, resulting in a full-scale action plan that ensures fidelity. We will outline key components to success, which include: leadership development, supporting teachers in instructional practices that provide permission for and encouragement of risk-taking with technology, and strategic relationships with digital curriculum providers. Discussion will include specific details on infrastructure, curriculum selection, methods of monitoring fidelity, and the philosophy of professional development with the intention that session attendees will leave with steps that can take to use the Sunnyside approach in your district.
