Why Wireless Networks Need a Lot of Wire (and a few other bits too)

Why wireless networks need a lot of wire(and a few other bits too).

It's not just computers anymore. This
session will show, in plain language, exactly what "backbone"
infrastructure you need and most importantly, why.

The objective it to allow the attendees to appreciate what actually goes on "behind the scenes" of the network and how that affects the end user (i.e. the teacher and student) experience. By
removing all the buzz word jargon of the day, you will be shown what is really
important, not so important, what is a white elephant and how the
"network" should be monitored and secured. Also shown will be why
it's important to share SOME of this information with the wider community. This
session will be presented in a way that is accessible for all members of a
school's team from teacher up to Administrator. This session will give the
attendees an understanding of what is actually running the ”System”.
